We are a non-denominational Church that is located in the Heart New Jersey, led by Pastor Joseph Leo
We are a Diverse community of believers committed to sharing the unconditional love, everlasting mercy and unending hope found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to our communities and to the world. We are committed to meeting the needs of the individual: giving hope, igniting passion and restoring relationships and helping you fulfill your God given destiny. Come and worship with us as we experience the power and the presence of God in a real and exciting way.
How We Started
From meeting in local homes to the North Stelton Fire House, our church has humble beginnings. We have been nurtured by the community we are so proud to serve. Today, we are blessed to have a beautiful building located at 482 Stelton Rd in Piscataway, NJ.
In addition to a house of worship, our Lord has also blessed us with over 700 members that come to experience our ministry. Through our weekly services, outreach endeavors, ministries, missions and events, we spread the word of Jesus Christ around the world.
Our Pastor
Paster Joseph Leo is a dedicated, bold, compassionate and knowledgable man of God. He preaches the word with accuracy and authenticity, according to our Holy Bible. With an everlasting passion and desire to guide, he has made it his mission to help others mature in grace, in faith and in love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Born in the Midwest city of Cincinnati, Ohio, Pastor Leo relocated to New Jersey in 1969. While working at his father’s machine shop during his early years, he learned leadership and responsibility from a tender age. He dedicated his life to the Lord at 17 years old under the guidance of the late Bishop Peter Bruno in Nutley, NJ.
After taking over the family business, he quickly found the voice of his heavenly father calling him for great endeavors and a full-time ministry. That is when ALWC was officially formed in 2005.
Graduating from the Evangelical Training Association and earning credentials from Logos Bible College, Pastor Joseph Leo has embodied the Lord in all aspects of his life for over 30 years. Together with his beautiful wife Shirley of 34 years, they have 5 children and 5 grandchildren: Daughters Rebekah, Angela, Vicky and Noel; Son Thomas Matthew; Granddaughter Olivia, and Grandsons Stephen, Logan, Joseph and Luke.
